I am very happy with my two cedar planters. Assembly was easy (for my husband!) He was impressed with the quality of the wood and all attachments to put it together. We haven’t planted yet as our season is coming to a close. We do have our asparagus plants in and ready for next year. I would definitely recommend Cedar Planters to anyone. I may even add more next year.
Easy to assemble, no surprises. I popped an extra 1" hole in each bottom slats to ensure drainage. I lined the inside with heavy polyethylene and melted the holes over the bottom slat holes. Placed the supplied filter cloth liner over the polly, filed about 7" of washed 1" stone then a layer of filter cloth and filed with garden soil to 2" from the top. I will plant them next spring. They look great.

Overall great product at the sale price I paid shipped right to my door. I finished the top edge to clean it up and make it little nicer for arms and hands on the edge of the box. It secures the fabric liner also. Gives the box a finished look. I added 2x4 cedar legs (1) to increase height. I'm tall. (2) The steel legs l fear won't last long sitting in soil or even on a patio stone. The wrench supplied are excellent.👍 I'm sure a novice would be able to make good use of them . I simply used a cordless with a socket.
Delivery was confusing. I was told item arrived but was actually arriving at delivery warehouses. Ordered 2 planters and built them today. One is great but the other has a split on the wood at the top of planter. Disappointing. I’ll fix it with wood glue.
Very easy to assemble with video instructions. The explanation was really simple and clear. Thank you. I intend to put the garlic in this autumn for next summer. Also I am looking forward to next spring to start planting some seeds.

We love the cedar planter. It was easy to assemble and once on the right spot John oiled the planter and when absorbed we added the liner and soil. Since it is late in the season we did find some perennials and still a tomato plant, geraniums to pop some colour and ivy. Will do for now and we will add different plants in the spring. It certainly made our patio look friendlier.
This is a quality product. They are sturdy and the wood is high grade. I did have a problem with one board that was substandard but they replaced it very quickly when I contacted them. The only other problem I have had with them is minor, but I have used my sander twice to shave the horizontal bottom slats as they were a little long and prevented the metal leg holes from lining up with the predrilled wooden holes on the side panels. Easy fix if you have a sander but harder to correct if you don’t. But I have bought four planters so far and may buy two more. It would be nice if you could specify the leg length. Other than that, they are not cheap, but quality does not come cheap. And I got my last two on a fall sale.
Very pleased with these planters. first season using them and were easy to assemble and are productive.
I haven't used the winter covers because the planter is in use at the present time.
My order arrived in about 3 weeks, the assembly instruction was easy to understand. I was able to put all four units together easily in one afternoon. I find the quality of the cedar only marginally acceptable, especially the short planks lining the bottom of the planter with large holes from knots in the planks. I may have to reinforce it with more bracing to make sure it can support the weight of the soil.
My herbs are very happy in their new home!

I haven't used the winter covers as this is the first season growing, but will this fall. The pic posted is an update on wax beans in 36" raised planter that was seeded July 8th, so are 42 days old. I am impressed, they are covered with blooms and bees are pollinating as I took photo. There are small pods forming so hopefully be harvesting by the end of august.
I love the planter itself, what I didn’t like was that when I went through the process of payment it said I would receive it on June 29th. It finally arrived 2 weeks later. You are in ON and I am in QC, moreover I personally think it is not worth 750$. It is beautiful but not worth that much $.
I’m so happy with my Cedar Planter! Delivery was seamless, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow, which made assembly really straightforward. Once it was put together, I was immediately impressed by the quality and how beautiful the natural cedar looks. I already have several planters and containers in my garden, and this one fits in so naturally while adding something special to the space. I planted mine with foxgloves, and I love how the flowers look against the warmth of the cedar. My garden is my little oasis during the summer and one of my favourite places to unwind, so I’m very particular about what I add to it. This planter is such a beautiful addition, and I’m already thinking about what I want to grow in another one next spring!

These planters are amazing. We bought one to try it and we were so impressed with it we bought two more. Easy to put together and material is amazing. Planter is very sturdy and my vegetables are striving in it. Will be buying more when we redo our deck!! Received it earlier than I thought I would and company is on top of updating me on my new order for two more.
Quick delivery, easy assembly, just planted some late crops. As a senior I appreciate not having to bend much. Will likely order a couple more for the spring planting. My one suggestion would be that you consider introducing wider models like say 24” to 36”. All in all a great product at a reasonable sale price. No hesitation to recommend the product and company.
I love our new raised garden beds. We originally bought one and thought it looked so good that we decided to buy two more. Delivery was seamless (free of charge) and in a very timely manner. After quickly viewing the instructions I found they were very easy to assemble. They have really added a lot of class to our back yard and I enjoy looking at them every day!

These cedar planters are awesome. These beans were seeded July 2nd and 8th and are thriving. The planters are sturdy, well built and a breeze to assemble. Highly recommend these!
I understood there would be a difference with garden grade.. but chips & dents along with multiple empty knots is insane for the price. One side looks good, one side looks passable & the other 2 are unacceptable.
Love the planters. Easy to assemble. I added pressure treated 2 X 4 between legs to add casters and then skirted bottom with matching cedar fence boards. Allows us to move planters around to sun and for convenience. Have two. Ordered another and plan on another next spring.
I installed this cedar planter at the lake for my herbs and a tumbling tomato plant and I absolutely love it. Why did I not buy one sooner!!!

How long does assembly really take?
About 30-minutes. Our planters come with pre-cut panels and pre-drilled holes. Just line up the holes, insert the bolts, and tighten with our included wrench.

No! Western Red Cedar is naturally rot and pest resistant. It's 100% food-safe for growing vegetables, herbs, and fruits.

No! Our planters have built-in drainage and excellent airflow. We don’t recommend adding rocks due to the unnecessary weight.
